How can a physiotherapist help me?

Do I need a GP referral to have physiotherapy?
A doctors referral is not required unless you are having treatment through an insurance company which state a referral is required.
How quickly will I be seen?
Finely Tuned Physiotherapy aim to offer an appointment within 25 hours.
How long will the treatments take?
Appointments last 45 mins however some may require a little longer- up to 60 mins.
Does my insurer cover my physiotherapy treatment?
All insurers are different. It's best to check with your insurance company or Finely Tuned Physiotherapy if you are unsure.
What should I wear for my appointment?
Whatever you feel comfortable wearing, but please be aware the physiotherapist will need to see the area of injury. Modesty is maintained at all times - large towels can be provided for patients comfort and privacy.
Can Finely Tuned Physiotherapy refer me for an MRI scan if required?
Yes a referral for an MRI scan at Vista Diagnostics can be arranged. Costs begin from £200.
I have tried physiotherapy before and it didn’t work. Is it worth trying again?
